I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and have been active in numerous positions during my professional career. For over twenty years I was an Associate Clinical Professor in the department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center where I taught students about the impact of family and marital dynamics on physical and psychological health. I have served on numerous non-profit boards where I like to think my expertise can impact people in my community.
My most rewarding professional activity is joining my clients on the journey of change and growth.
On a personal note I have been married for 36 years and my husband and I have raised two sons. I am very clear about my conviction that a healthy, functional intimate relationship is one of the best vehicles for our growth and life satisfaction.
